Reflective Essay

I think my English writing skills have improved a lot. In term of organization, I used to have an unclear thought when writing a well-organized essay. After Dr. Sherry assign us to create our own website to record our own composition. Wix just like a way to look our improvements. We post our works online and we learn arranging the whole page to show to the readers in order to make a comfortable scene. Apart from the writing skill, I learn a lot from creating a suitable page most. Moreover, after learning this kind of skill, it’s time for us to assess whether it’s good or not. Dr. Sherry gave us a self-assessment to check such as the word fonts, size, colors and so on. In addition, we can also look other students’ works respectively. In this way, students can learn with each other and improve themselves from learning others’ advantages. In sum, I think learning creating and managing Wix can help us to run a website and try new things we haven’t tried before.

But still, I did encounter some challenges when editing the Wix. I never think that it is difficult to post successfully. I learn how to click on the button to arrange the whole page. Furthermore, every step needs to be careful. For example, one day I have arranged my whole page. Then, I had to add some photos in order to make the whole page more wonderful. However, things didn’t go well as I expected. Once I input the photo I chose, the space of a whole page ran out right away. At that time, I was frustrated a lot! I don’t know what’s going on and I wondered that I had to do it all over again. And as you think, if I finished the action of adding one picture, the whole page would be a mess again. In total, I have arranged up to 3 times to rearrange the page.

I thought that if I finished the composition class, I wouldn’t use Wix again to share my works, photos. Until the end of this semester, I found out that keeping a journal is a great thing to me. I start to love to share the thing I want to talk in my journal. Once I post one journal, I would feel relax and comfort a lot! Therefore, I think I might keep using Wix to edit the composition and post it on Wix. Doing this is all for myself because it makes me feel confident.
